The Southwest, known for it's beauty, is home of the Native American Navajo Tribe, makers of these top-quality and remarkable hand crafted Kachina dolls.  The Kachina Dolls here are all 10 inches tall (not including the base and head dress).  Some of the Kachina dolls are available in other sizes and will be indicated in the description.  If you are wanting any of these Kachina Dolls in another size, larger or smaller,  please contact us.  NOTE:  Since each Navajo Kachina Doll is individually hand crafted using real leather and feathers, please allow for variations in color.  Each will be unique and a one of a kind.  READ about Kachina Dolls at bottom of page.

About Kachina and Legends

The Kachina Dolls of today are representative of the bridge between the spiritual world and the humans of the earth.  Legend has it that the Kachinas come back to the earth each year and walk and dance upon the earth to bring renewal to life during the planting season. Then when the Kachinas return to the spirit world at the end of the planting, they carry with them the prayers of the Native Americans that are requesting that all on the earth continue for another round in the circle of life.  Although the Hopi were the original Kachina Doll carvers, the Navajo began carving Kachinas in their own creative way, adding leather, feather, beads and turquoise.
