This is Mud-head the Kachina that acts as a clown to amuse the audience that surrounds him. He is one of the most popular Kachinas in Native American culture. He is a reddish-brown and is said to have been painted with the mud from a sacred spring.

Genuine Navajo Kachina Doll is hand made by Navajo Indians in New Mexico. Doll Stands 10" tall plus cedar wood platform and headdress feathers (abut 12"-14" total).
